Monthly Featured Photographer - December 2014

The model for this photo shoot was Katarina. She is a doll combo of an Aria head and a Viola 135cm body.

The camera I used for this photo shoot was a Canon EOS Rebel T3 with a EF-S 18-55mm lens. Other equipment I used were, a desk lamp with two dim levels, and a tripod. Photos were taken with and without a tripod.

My main idea was to showcase specific target areas (like the face or the plaid pattern) and to do so I kept the f-stop setting as small as I could for each shot. I also used the flash as less as possible because I wanted to make the makeup work pop out as much while retaining a natural low light atmosphere.

For any photo editing I normally use Photoshop, but I've started learning some of the Canon software that was included with the camera kit, which can really bring out the photos even more. Specifically, for this photo shoot, no editing was done.

Also, as much as I tried focusing on the facial area, it was difficult not to display more angles of the model, as you can see. :D
