This month was a dry and rather warm month in Norcal, and I decided to take the filming outdoors and in my usual photo spots. This time I photographed Lily, a Jiusheng Doll (150cm) that was provided for pics. I have photographed her many times, and this time with a string bikini. It was quite a job getting it on her as I struggled with all the strings and finally figured on a fit that I liked. So off we went and as usual I photographed her in a few of my favorite spots in the garden. In several of these areas, the lighting was not great due to the sun shining behind her, but this is easily fixed using a speedlight and I employ this type of lighting when doing outdoor photos. It helps to reduce the sun exposure - You first meter for the bright sun by increasing the F-stop/or shutter speed to create less light, and use the power of the high speed of the speedlight to hightlight the scene. Speedlights are used in many outdoor venues but require heavy lighting gear, so you need to factor that in. Any way, here are a few of the pics I liked.
