Meet Robin

Robin is a DS158+ who came to me via the forum in December (after a very long wait as some will know). Despite some teething problems she is still a wonderful girl and her wounds just had to her character and personality for me. A shy girl, she took some major coaxing to agree to some of these poses but as I kept telling, she just smashes them all with her glam and style. With so many wonderful photographers around TDF, it is certainly a great honour to be asked to contribute. I hope you enjoy her pictures.

Equipment

Nothing fancy here unfortunately as I still use my trusty Minolta Dynax 5D DLSR. This camera has served me very well over the years at motor racing meets and now serves me well for these shoots. An old camera now but does (nearly) everything I need it to. Nearly all shots were taken with a 50mm prime lens with the rest being done by the trusty 'kit lens' (which are perfectly fine if you know what to avoid). While I do have a lighting setup, all natural light was used for these shots and all editing was kept to minimum after they were fixed in Camera RAW.

You can see more of Robin in her thread - Here

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.

Super photos, you have an eye for detail that makes these a cut above. And I like the tighter detail shots like 1-21; 1-29 and 2-27. Sometimes the parts are greater than the whole.
